I can 't really understand this - other than as a money making exercise for the US authorities. I'm all for the US doing security checks and cutting down time by doing it in advance, but I don't agree with paying for it, and certainly not if I'm not even staying there.

I think it sucks for passing through passengers but from the American view you are passing through one of their airports and have landed.
ReplyDeleteA short time of course and could I guess find your way out of the airport though all you want to do is get on the next flight out.
Money making , of course.
Mind you other countries have had to get visas for years and I imagine they will soon recognize the money making potential of having Canadians apply for ESTA.
Time to turn the brush on them, the mouse needs to be fed also.
