My thoughts are with Michael Schumacher

I just wanted to say how saddened I am by the news of Michael Schumacher's tragic accident. I am just in the process of organising my family ski/snowboard holiday for this coming season and news of an incredibly fit and more than capable skier being injured just sends shivers down my spine. It shows how precious life can be and that however much we try and protect ourselves, I believe he was wearing a helmet at the time, accidents can happen.

As a 7 times Formula 1 world champion Michael Schumacher is a hero in our house, my partner being an avid motor sport fan and I wish him all the best. He has shown his strength and determination time and again and I hope that this fighting spirit will pull him through. And whilst I know it cannot help him at all I send my love and thoughts to him and his family and pray for a full and speedy recovery.

My thoughts are also with anyone in a ski resort at the moment, I know several families that are away for New Year, I wish you all a safe holiday and hope that you all still enjoy the mountains for the fun that they provide.
